How to Overclock your Nokia N900 - Easy guide- [With NitDroid]

Note :
You need to enable repos before doing this. Click here.
You need root access before get started.(Install rootsh from the appmanager)

Update Note :
Now we are in kernel power v47. So after going with these steps, open x-terminal and type;

root
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade

*again run apt-get upgrade. If you see a line like this, "The following packages have been kept back...." , install them by,

apt-get install packagename

Note :
If you are using both NitDroid and Maemo5 , then you need to install kernelpower46 .

1) Download this file .

2) Unpack it and copy its contents to /home/user/MyDocs

3) Then open x-terminal and type

root
cd /home/user/MyDocs
dpkg -i multiboot-0.2.11.deb

dpkg -i kernel-power-bootimg_2.6.28-maemo46_armel.deb
dpkg -i kernel-power-modules_2.6.28-maemo46_armel.deb
dpkg -i multiboot-kernel-maemo_0.3-1_armel.deb
dpkg -i multiboot-kernel-power_0.3-1_armel.deb

dpkg -i kernel-power-headers_2.6.28-maemo46_armel.deb
dpkg -i kernel-power_2.6.28-maemo46_armel.deb
dpkg -i kernel-power-flasher_2.6.28-maemo46_armel.deb
dpkg -i kernel-power-settings_0.11_armel.deb

4) Then restart your mobile with opened keyboard and you will find 3 choices ;

1 - for stock maemo kernel
2 - for kernel power 46
3 - for nitdroid

5) Select 2 for load Maemo5 with overclock option .

6) Then open x-terminal and type ; (This is for install qcpufreq application)

root
apt-get update
apt-get install qcpufreq
apt-get clean

7) Reboot the device .

8) Then open qcpufreq .

9) Tap on the menu bar and select settings .

10) Select Enable overclocking .

11) Then scroll the Set maximum CPU frequency and select your cpu freq.

12) Done .

Note : 

* Over clock will be gone after a reboot! If you are happy with your overclock situation and wanna stick with it , open qcpufreq and select "save" .

* First try max cpu freq as 750MHz or 805MHz. Dont go any higher. If you are happy with it, you can go to about 900MHz . All pros recommend that NOT TO use higher than 900MHz
